Los Angeles – California Audiovisual Preservation Project workshop

October 17, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

This workshop will detail how the California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP) manages the digital conversion and preservation of audiovisual collections and ensures long-term access of the California Light and Sound collection, available at californialightandsound.org.

Participants will come away with a better understanding of the CAVPP’s workflow as it relates to the broad concepts and best practices underlying digital preservation. Participants will also learn how to become a partner in the CAVPP in order to preserve and make accessible their historic audiovisual collections.

More information about the CAVPP is available here: https://calpreservation.org/projects/audiovisual-preservation.

The workshop is free.

We look forward to working with you to preserve our state’s rich audiovisual heritage.
